Warehouse Conversion

Size:3000 sq.ft.

Year: 2010

Cost:Budget Withheld

Description: We helped this client realize their vision to convert a warehouse space to a live/work loft condo.  The original warehouse had living space on the second floor and storage on the ground floor. The renovation design brief called for living space on both floors, bedrooms on the ground floor, and living/dining/kitchen on the second floor; a half messaine & a large roof deck with outdoor kitchen. Two narrow exit stairs were replaced with a steel & glass stair at the centre of the warehouse. The industrial aestethic was carried through with rolling barn doors, polishes concrete floors, steel awning windows, & exposed steel beams. The custom white resin high-gloss kitchen cabinets were topped with Cesarstone counters. The 11ft high ceilings ground floor allowed for storage over walk-in closet in the master bedroom & a sleeping loft over a work area in the second bedroom. The new stair fully intergraded access to the mezzanine and roof deck into the living space on the second floor.
